Since its inception, GangaGen's research focus is to find alternatives to chemical antibiotics that are safe to humans and also to the environment. The recognition of the long term harm in using chemicals to wage war against the harmful microbes has spurred the urgent need for alternatives. GangaGen's expertise is to discover, design, and develop such alternatives.
This GangaGen expertise is the knowledge base of Protein Antibacterials and Phages that are naturally occurring antimicrobials. We have been applying this expertise in collaborative projects, and exploring the utility of these for achieving eco-friendly solutions for microbial control. We continue to be interested in working with like-minded companies on such programs.
