GangaGen was pleased to participate in GAMRIC 2026 in Lisbon, contributing by sharing knowledge on discovery & development of novel antibacterials and engaging with leading researchers and experts across the antimicrobial resistance field.
As part of the scientific programme, Srividya Desai, Senior Scientist at GangaGen, presented “Beyond the Standard: Establishing Alternative Media for MIC Determination of Novel Klebicins,” highlighting GangaGen’s work on alternative media for MIC determination of novel klebicins. The presentation was well received and appreciated by experts. The presentation was followed by a panel discussion on “Therapeutics – Think About the Future! Laying the Foundation for Later Stage Antibiotic Development", providing an oppurtunity to share her thoughts”
The session provided an excellent opportunity to highlight GangaGen’s work on klebicins and share perspectives on the challenges and considerations involved in advancing novel antibacterial therapeutics.
At the GAMRIC 2026 poster session, Sanjeev Saravanan, Senior Scientist at GangaGen, presented “Engineered Phage Lysins as Precision Antibacterials Against Multidrug-Resistant Acinetobacter baumannii.”
The poster showcased GangaGen’s research on engineered phage lysins and their potential as targeted antibacterial agents against multidrug-resistant A. baumannii.
The poster session sparked scientific discussions with researchers and experts around emerging approaches for tackling drug-resistant bacterial infections, providing an opportunity to exchange ideas and perspectives on the development of novel antibacterial strategies.
